The traditional Summer Research Internship Program is sponsored by the US ARMY Engineer Research and Development Center and coordinated at the Department of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez.

The UPRM-ERDC SRIP offers internship opportunities in various disciplines. See the description of scopes of works (SOW) available here.

Applications will be uploaded on line at this site. The following is required to apply.

1. Fill out the Application Form available On-line to create your account (2012 process closed).
   
2. Upload your updated Resume, make sure it has no orthographic errors.


3. Upload the most recent copy of your Transcript. If you are a gradute student, you must upload a copy of both transcripts, undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Preferably send a single file containing all pages of your transcript.


4. Establish your list of priorities for the Scopes of Work available. You must select from those you are qualified for.

To participate in the UPRM - ERDC Summer Research Intership Program the following are the requirements to apply:

1. Must be a US. Citizen.


2. General GPA >= 3.00 (exceptional cases may be considered if the Department GPA >=3.00).


3. Number of credits approved or in progress >= 115 (exceptional students may be considered if there are appropiate opportunities for them).


4. Apply on time and supply all the required information.


5. Be in good standing (no probation or disciplinary actions pending).


6. Have interest and motivation to pursue a graduate degree in the future.
